Is the waitlist currently open?

Our waitlist is currently open. We are accepting applications for studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units. Contact our office to confirm current wait times, as they vary by unit size.

Once the waitlist reaches capacity, we will close it and announce any reopening through this website and local newspapers. We do not maintain a list of individuals who wish to be notified when the waitlist reopens.

Priority Order

Waitlist priority order

First Priority

Persons 62 years of age or older. No disability verification required.

2

Second Priority

Persons 50 to 61 years old who are disabled or handicapped. Medical verification required.

3

Third Priority

Persons 49 years or younger who are disabled or handicapped. Medical verification required.

Income Targeting

Income targeting requirement

Per our HUD contract, 40% of all families who move in each fiscal year must fall within the Extremely Low Income limit. This may mean some applicants with slightly higher incomes are temporarily passed over to meet this requirement.

Staying on the List

How to stay on the waitlist

Report address and phone changes -- If we cannot reach you by mail or phone, your application may be rejected and removed from the waitlist. Keep your contact information current at all times.
Report household or income changes -- Changes in household size or income may affect your unit size requirement or eligibility. Notify the office in writing promptly.
Respond when contacted -- If the office reaches out regarding your application or a unit offer, respond promptly. Contact us if you have any questions about your status on the list.
